In the episode, Akeer asks the gurudwara priest, Paati ji, if his mamma, who is in God’s house, will be happy if he performs service at the gurudwara. Paati ji assures him that she will be very happy. Angad then inquires about scheduling Akeer’s dastarbandi (turban-tying) ceremony. Paati ji suggests that it can be performed on Sunday. Angad prompts Akeer to invite Paati ji for the ceremony, and Akeer does so. Paati ji agrees to come, as he will be the one performing the dastarbandi.
Jasleen scolds Keerat for helping their staff member Gurnoor lift groceries at the gurudwara. Gurnoor defends Keerat, saying she is kind-hearted. She then tells the gurudwara staff that she will prepare a delicious meal for everyone. Manveer, in a usual demeaning tone, asserts that they are there for Akeer and will handle the food preparation themselves. She insists the staff shouldn’t mingle with them. Gurnoor identifies herself as Akeer’s teacher, but Manveer dismissively tells her to leave. Sahiba asks what they should do now, and the staff suggests they perform other services.
Gurnoor serves the devotees but gets tense upon seeing Beeja and her aide, so she escapes. Akeer starts looking for Gurnoor, and Angad offers to help, but Akeer insists on searching alone. Angad tries to call Gurnoor but finds her number switched off. He asks Bebe to stay with Akeer and not let him go anywhere until he returns. Bebe holds Akeer close.
Gurnoor attempts to leave the gurudwara, relieved that Beeja didn’t see her, but then she spots Beeja right in front of her and runs. Beeja enjoys seeing Gurnoor’s fear. Gurnoor hides in a grocery room and, seeing a shadow approaching, warns the person to stay away. She swings a stick at the shadow, but it turns out to be Angad. He asks her what’s wrong, but she stays silent. Angad reassures her that he won’t press for answers until she’s ready to talk.
Back at home, the Brars decorate the house for Akeer’s dastarbandi ceremony. Angad becomes emotional looking at the ceremony’s invitation board. Garry tells Angad that he should smile because it’s his son’s special day. Angad confides that he wishes Akeer would call him ‘papa’ like Bani calls Garry, though it seems unlikely. Garry reassures him that Akeer will come around. Gurnoor overhears their conversation and gets emotional.
Angad approaches Gurnoor, and she comforts him, saying Akeer will understand him soon. Angad reminisces about calling his own father, Inder, ‘papa’ and wonders when Akeer will do the same. Gurnoor suggests using a pink cloth for Akeer’s dastarbandi to match Angad’s turban, and Angad agrees.
Bebe and other family members tell Manveer that they have decided she should perform Akeer’s dastarbandi. Manveer initially resists, saying it’s Bebe’s right as the elder, but Bebe insists. Gurnoor picks a pink cloth for the ceremony, but Manveer insists on yellow. Gurnoor and the others convince her that the pink cloth will match Angad’s turban better. Manveer, appreciating the suggestion, agrees.
Akeer notices the dastarbandi invitation board with his name on it and feels happy. Simran remarks that he is the star of the day, and Sahiba tells him that his papa loves him a lot and is doing everything for his happiness. Akeer notices Angad talking with guests and asks if they have all come for him. Angad confirms and mentions there is a surprise for him. Akeer’s friend, Lucky, arrives with his mother. Akeer joyfully hugs Lucky and takes him to show his room. Angad thanks Lucky’s mother for coming.
